Team Notes: Bridgend Celts played two games, both in 1987. The first was a pre-season one versus Swansea Dragons as part of the Wales American Football Festival. 13,000 people attended to see various exhibition games (touch, junior kitted, veteran rugby etc). Swansea beat Bridgend. They duly joined UKAFL and played their first regular season game on Sunday 10th May 1987 at Bridgend rugby club against the Cardiff Mets which they lost 13-19 and promptly folded. Their fixtures (and their record, such as it was) were taken over by the Bristol Blackhawks who were drafted in at very short notice.
