Team Notes: Formed from the ashes of the Bristol Bombers who folded in 1986. Won two division
championships in their first two years losing in the play-offs each time, and then struggled
when reaching the top flight in 1989 with three losing records before folding in 1991. Popular
fullback Ronnie Barnes tragically died on the field for the Packers during a 1991 game vs London
Ravens after a heart seizure. Toured Channel Isles at start of 1988 season. Owner Mike Wilkinson
was a former Green Bay Packer.
